Could it be that we are all suffering from report overload?
Digitizing assessments has its benefits, but it also has its challenges!
Anyone who knows me knows that I am an over-thinker. I should have known this about myself at an early age. My mom used to tell me that selecting my school supplies at the beginning of the year was a day-long adventure. Every supply had to coordinate and there was a certain way that the supplies had to fit in my desk.
So, maybe it’s because I’m an over-thinker that I run scared from the many data reports that come from one assessment. Lord knows I could pour over every report for hours upon hours upon hours! But, as we talked about in this post, that doesn’t create IMPACT.
I’ve learned so much from schools that successfully summarize data into one page for teachers and the wider community. While each looks different, they all tell the same story:

We are doing some things well and have some good news to show for it.

We recognize that we have room to grow, and therefore, we have called out our urgent messages.
We are taking action to make an impact through our bold next steps.
