I love my job. A lot. Every single time I am with some of the greatest heroes in this world – educators – I am reminded of how lucky I am to do what I do.
I suppose one could say that our job as a “consulting company” is to help districts and schools get better. I would say that we definitely do that. What should not go unnoticed, however, is that those we serve already have the answers on how to get better. They just need someone to help them find those answers and then turn those answers into action.
I took so many notes over the last couple of days in Fitchburg. Teachers, school administration, and district administration are all working towards the same goal – to remove the barriers that get in the way of all students succeeding.
Will they be able to accomplish this goal tomorrow? In a month? In six months? Probably not. But will they get there eventually – most definitely. Why do I think that? Because they are heroes! See for yourself . . . their wisdom and their passion are both evident in what they said over the last couple of days.

Being uncomfortable is part of the work. Because we care about each other and our students, we can challenge the status quo.
– Jen, Assistant Principal
We can’t use our challenges or the challenges that our students face as excuses. We need to use them as motivators.
