We continue to be amazed at the determination and focus of our districts and schools across the country. Realizing that “less is more,” leaders are hard at work to be laser-focused on a “main thing.”
Just look at Mammoth Middle School in Mammoth, CA. Knowing they couldn’t do everything, the ILT used a protocol to conduct a brainstorming session to determine how they could support their targeted learning focus.
At Kenwood Elementary School in Champaign, IL, the leaders have identified their Targeted Learning Focus. To ensure fidelity of implementation across the school, the ILT is working to define what the implementation of their targeted learning focus will look like during teaching and learning.
In Fitchburg Public Schools, the district’s leadership team (DLT) is committed to optimizing time to focus on supporting schools. To ensure they are keeping the main thing, the main thing, leaders of the DLT track not only how much time they are spending in schools but also how that time is used.
