I had the best week. It is always so humbling and inspiring to both watch and support leaders who are rising to the challenge of keeping the main thing – the main thing. On Wednesday, we launched our cross-district collaboration with two districts (Blackstone-Millville RSD and Hudson Public Schools). I invited my colleague, JoAnne, to join me. In her words, “it was both motivating and inspiring to see the work of these everyday heroes in action”. Here are some of her take-aways:

1. Cross-district and peer collaboration are both POWERFUL and RE-AFFIRMING.
2. CHALLENGES are SIMILAR. We don’t have to do this hard work alone!
3. EMBRACE the awkwardness of silence. Sometimes it is good just to lean in and listen; it can be very ‘telling’
4. Your journey is YOUR JOURNEY, and where you are in this moment is exactly where you’re supposed to be. Never lose sight of how far you’ve come.
5. Resist the urge to compare. COLLECTIVELY we are getting there.

Always remember your ‘WHY’!
I think her insights are spot on, don’t you? JoAnne has affirmed for us what we know deep down … we are, and always will be, better together. We are honored to be a part of so many teams doing heroic work!
