Please tell me I’m not alone. Please tell me that you, too, feel like you need a “to-do list” for your “to-do list”.
Of course, I know better. No one can do everything even remotely well. However, there is a strong likelihood that if we put our minds to do that “one thing”, we will have an IMPACT.
I’m reading the book, Atomic Habits, by James Clear. SIDE NOTE: If you don’t have this book, you need to get it now. Anyway, on p. 15, it reads:

Small, incremental changes in one thing WILL lead to IMPACT for every student. So, give yourself permission to let go of trying to do it all and get FOCUSED on that ONE thing. Lead your staff in a conversation that is centered around this question:

What is it that every student needs to know and be able to do to be successful in school and in life?
When you answer that question, you will have identified your North Star – your schoolwide focus.
Check out this podcast to learn more about how a schoolwide focus can help you get and stay FOCUSED.
Believing in YOU!
