Welcome back!
Across the country, classrooms, playgrounds, gymnasiums, and cafeterias have once again come to life, filled with the voices of students returning to school. We wish all of you who are “back to school” the best year yet. It’s true that the start of a new school year can generate a lot of excitement and anticipation–for students, educators, and leaders alike. This new beginning is also the perfect opportunity to set or recommit to a small set of focused goals to channel our efforts throughout the school year.
Here at Focused Schools, we are committing ourselves to focusing on deepening our use of data–both as a company and with our partner districts–to drive continuous improvement and then celebrating progress relentlessly along the way. We have spent the summer improving our internal data collection methods and inquiry cycles, reimagining our data support and curriculum for our partners, and identifying strategies for authentic and meaningful celebration. We are launching these efforts with the start of this school year and are excited to share our journey with you!
This year, our blog will be dedicated to conversations about data and celebrations, including tools and strategies your team can borrow to hone in on your use of data and relentless celebrations of progress. In the spirit of celebration, we’ll also be spotlighting some of our partner districts for the incredible work they are doing in schools and classrooms across the nation.
